Combat - the physical game of high-speed chess. One of the most visible activities in Adria are the Combat Tournaments. Yes, we use real weapons but we stress when we teach you, control. In the Combat Tourneys, you have the opportunity to test your skill in the four levels of skill:  shinai, light renaissance (rapiers), heavy renaissance (cut & thrust) and steel.

Shinai: Basic training style.  This is the basis for the
other weapons to enable combatants to get used to the
weight of a weapon in thy hands and to learn the basic
skills of wielding a sword.     

Renaissance or Renn: Light and heavy Rapier. The next
level in honing your fighting skills 

Armor and Steel: Live-steel fighting. Heavy gauge steel
armor or chain maile are worn.
